The path is usually like "c:\users\YourUserName\AppData\local\Slimjet\User Data" under Windows Vista or later. In the regular version, all the data and settings are stored under the local application data folder.
SLIMBOAT SLIMJET PORTABLE
In the portable version, all the data and settings are stored under the "User Data" within the extraction folder. If you switch between the two versions, you will have to copy the data between them manually. The data and settings between the regular installer version and the portable version are completely independent of each other. Extract it under your personal folder or any folder not on the system drive. If you extract it on the hard disk, DO NOT extract into the program files folder under the system folder (such as c:\program files or c:\program files (x86). Otherwise you might feel it runs significantly slower than a hard drive installation. Also, make sure it has reasonable read/write speed. If you are running it off a USB disk, make sure it has at least 2G free space.

SLIMBOAT SLIMJET ARCHIVE
In the portable version, all the settings and data are stored under the folder where the portable version archive is extracted. Since Slimjet is built on top of Chrome browser, all extensions designed for Chrome in Chrome Web Store will be fully compatible with Slimjet.įlashPeak wrote:Important Notice about the Portable Version Upload clipboard image with a single click Multiple proxy switcher with support of socks5 proxy Type alias instead of long URL from address Here is a brief list of features built into Slimjet but not available in Chrome:Īutomatic photo shrinking to reduce upload time Slimjet is designed to be more flexible and customizable. Chrome is simple and fast but doesn't include enough options. It's built on top of the Google Chrome browser but integrates a lot more powerful and convenient features while keeping the same fast browsing speed. Slimboat has earned its place in our browser fleet.FlashPeak wrote:Slimjet is a free web browser that is fast, secure and powerful. In real-world Web browsing, though, SlimBoat feels distinctly crisp and fast. It launches and loads very quickly and handles well in direct comparisons with other browsers, though it couldn't beat the current champ, Chrome, in bandwidth tests.
SLIMBOAT SLIMJET DOWNLOAD
We could translate languages and change the interface language from the Languages menu, though the languages pack is an optional download for those who want to save space.
SLIMBOAT SLIMJET PLUS
SlimBoat offers a plethora of other options, plus tools such as the Ad Blocker and Popup Blocker. It's got plenty of nice touches of its own, like an integrated display of local weather conditions that we enabled and configured by clicking Weather in the Settings. And SlimBoat doesn't just go with the flow, either.

But we could change a lot about SlimBoat's looks from the View menu, including its Application style, and from the Settings dialog box. SlimBoat also takes design cues from other browsers, such as Netscape's draggable toolbars (and even the little dots like finger grips). In layout and looks, SlimBoat resembles other modern browsers, nearly all of which use those design elements that work best, such as tabs and bookmark toolbars. SlimBoat can import data from IE, Firefox, or Chrome. The latest release extracts MP3 audio from YouTube downloads and is Windows 8-ready. SlimBoat is free, too, with versions available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. SlimBoat gives up nothing to other browsers when it comes to features and capabilities, either it inclusdes tons of features such as a form filler, ad and pop-up blockers, a download manager, a YouTube downloader, and integration with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media and Web sites. It's built on QTWebkit, but all you really need to know is that it's fast and safe. Though it's not radically different in appearance or performance, FlashPeak's lightweight, cross-platform SlimBoat stands out from other browsers by integrating many of the capabilities that the others add on with extensions. We like trying different Web browsers, so when a browser that's actually more than a Chrome or Firefox clone comes along, we're definitely interested.
